Another day… another pound gained…
Seems to be a pattern with me. I start dieting, drop a bunch in the first week… and then slowly gain half back. So today I am going to re-examine my eating patterns and try and find the flaw. I’ve gotten through this before, and dammit i can again!

Sure you can! Have you tried using the food journal that works great for me when I use it! uh huh, that when is the operative word there!

You can do it!!! I find the same thing happens to me when I loose a lot of weight in one week. My advice only weigh yourself once a week..you are going to drive yourself crazy.

I’m not so sure it’s a flaw as much as it is your body doing what it does best… I think it simply compensates for your efforts.
You eat less, it stores what you DO eat to fat more readily.
That’s one of the reasons that I do the daily measurements. If I see a consistent daily loss slowly turning into a daily stall, or worse yet a daily gain, I compensate by eating or exercising differently for a period of time. Maybe I’ll eat MORE one day (healthy of course) just to “trick” my body into thinking that more food is on the way.
Three times this month I ate more food for a day or two, gained slightly as a result, then saw big losses in the days following.
Mix it up a little.
But I do NOT think cutting back on calories even more is the answer, unless you have junk calories to be cut. Don’t starve.
oh, good luck with that! i know that when i start exercising more i can feel like it’s ok to eat more - usually it’s not for me as i eat so much to start. also, your metabolism has to catch up to what’s going on with your intake/output. keep up the biking and go easy on the eats and you will make it through!
